Whirlpool® is Brand of Choice in 2021 Annual Industry Survey

Industry professionals are most familiar with Whirlpool brand products and rely on them more than any other brand for kitchen and laundry projects, according to the 2021 BUILDER Brand Use Study¹.

Whirlpool ranked the highest among all brands in three categories each for kitchen appliances and laundry appliances:

• • "Brand Familiarity," "Brand Used the Most," and "Brand Used In the Past Two Years" in the kitchen appliance category

• • "Brand Familiarity," "Brand Used the Most," and "Brand Used In the Past Two Years" in the laundry appliance category

The 2021 BUILDER Brand Use Study surveyed more than 750 U.S. builders, contractors and industry professionals to discover the products they recognize, use and trust.

Whirlpool's top rankings in the "Brand Familiarity" and "Brand Used In the Past Two Years" for kitchen appliances surpassed the scores of 32 other companies and brands.

Whirlpool's "Brand Used the Most" ranking of 21% for kitchen appliances was higher than 20 others, and more than twice as high as the second-ranked brand. Key factors that drove brand selection included product performance, strength of manufacturer's brand and reputation, warranty, product price and availability.

Also faring well in the study was KitchenAid^®, which ranked third in the "Brand Familiarity" and second in "Brands Used in the Past Two Years" categories for kitchen appliances, and fourth in "Brands Used the Most."

Among laundry appliances, Whirlpool outranked 15 other competitors in the "Brand Familiarity" and "Brand Used In the Past Two Years" categories. Maytag^® ranked fourth in "Brand Familiarity."

 

Almost 25% of those surveyed rated Whirlpool as the "Brand Used the Most," which was highest among 10 laundry appliance brands cited.

 

Important factors that influenced brand selection included product performance, warranty, product price, availability, and strength of manufacturer's brand and reputation.
